How to use
- Change any number; the total updates as you type.
- Starting values are assumptions for a single man sharing a hostel room, not quotes. Your own spending will differ.
Ways to bring the total down
- Buy metro QR tickets on WhatsApp or an app instead of at the counter — see the metro hacks.
- Share cooking in the hostel kitchen with your roommate — see the kitchen shopping list.
- Compare mess and meal options before you commit for a month.
- Read the full monthly budget guide for what each line usually includes.
